"I have done a fair bit of traveling and stayed at many hotels, inns, and hostels over the years…and I can confidently say this may have been the worst stay of them all. The location is fine; it’s close to many shops and restaurants. And it’s across a small street from the beach. Those are the only positives I can mention. I would like to first mention that I am very affectionate towards animals and I love dogs. HOWEVER, a hotel is not the place for a dog to live. I’m not talking about a guest...

"Initially had a family room but staff were able to give me queen room after 2 nights so that was great. It is a comfortable budget hotel with a free breakfast. The only thing I would mention is the breakfast is cold each morning. Staff were great though and very helpful. "

"Lovely staff and amazing location to explore El Nido. The breakfast was good with a nice view. There were a few minor imperfections with the hotel room - squeaky bed, rattling windows and grimy bathroom. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at the Aqua Lodge for a good price and would recommend."

"The design is unique and sculptural. Staff is super friendly. We felt like we were in a treehouse. Comfortable room! If you are looking for relaxation, however, there is a lot of noise due to poor insulation (motor vehicles and street noise) and construction next door. Somehow, we slept wonderfully! But know that the rooms are quite noisy if you're a light sleeper. "
